Sand animation is a miraculous and unique story of light and sand that creates an incredible emotional experience for viewers, seeing how the sand comes to life with the movements of the artist's hands and a story emerges on the screen - about a specific event, company, its products, or perhaps about a person.
Sand cinema is not just drawn pictures - it is a way to convey a message to the audience. Usually the performance is wordless - only with the help of drawings and music it creates a very easy-to-understand story and plot.
The sand cinema drawing table is equipped with lighting and video equipment, which allows the process to be filmed or broadcast on screens so that it can be seen live by every visitor to the event.
Minimum performance duration at the event: 9 minutes.
Usually ~12 minutes (15-16 minutes for weddings or anniversaries).

Projector and a screen
In order for the performance to be visible to the event guests, a projector and screen or LED screen are required, to which a sand cinema camera is connected (HDMI connection).
To connect the sand cinema light table, an electrical connection is also required.

Twilight/darkness
Sand animation can only be made in semi-darkness - the darker the room, the better the drawing on the screen will be visible.
All lights and spotlights in the room must be turned off during the performance.
If the room has large windows and the performance is planned for the day, you need to consider the situation - whether the windows have blinds and what time the performance is planned.

Sound/ music
Music (most often instrumental) is always provided in the background of the performance. I usually choose the pieces myself according to the specific event and the mood of the story. It is necessary to provide sound playback equipment.
I can also perform with musicians and live performances.

Outdoor performance?
It is also possible to perform outdoors, subject to the following conditions:
If the sand cinema table is completely protected from wind and rain;
If it is dark at the location of the sand cinema table (during the day, it is only possible to perform in a black tent.)
It's dark enough in the summer to perform without a black tent only in the evening after sunset.
How is the story of a sand cinema performance created?
The execution of each new order takes at least 4-5 days, depending on the length and complexity of the planned performance.

Researching the topic
The client shares their vision of what they would like to see in the performance and what its message would be to the audience;
The client sends a brief summary, 4-6 facts, and photos or other visual materials, if any, that could help with the preparation of the presentation.

Creating sketches
I prepare sketches (shots) of the imagined performance and send them to the client for approval;
If the client wants, I can make adjustments to the performance footage .

Performance development
I found music and compositions suitable for the theme and mood of the performance, and edited them to the required timing;
I practice drawing the prepared performance so that the drawing is done quickly, fluidly, and in harmony with the music.

Price for a personalized performance prepared especially for you (duration 9-13 min, for weddings and anniversaries 15-16 min)
is 750-900* euros + travel expenses and acommodation costs outside Latvia.

Masterclasses
I also offer master classes for guests - an opportunity for event attendees to try out the sand cinema technique themselves. It can be a creative workshop, as well as an opportunity for guests to draw and film greetings or congratulations (for example, at weddings and anniversaries).
